The collaboration between Crédit Agricole Payment Services and Ex-Dejamobile (Market Pay Group) is a long-standing partnership. As early as 2015, the two companies were experimenting with the first mobile payment service based on Mastercard's Cloud-Based Payments specifications, incorporating innovative technologies such as tokenization, HCE, and biometric authentication.
In April 2017, Crédit Agricole launched its mobile payment service via its "Ma Carte" application. Integrated within Crédit Agricole’s "Ma Carte" app, the SoftPOSPayment solution from Ex-Dejamobile (Market Pay Group) enables Crédit Agricole customers to pay in stores using their NFC-enabled smartphones. The bank’s application also benefits from the strong customer authentication (SCA) module of Ex-Dejamobile (Market Pay Group) to secure transfers for the "Paylib entre amis" service, which will become Wero in 2025.
Crédit Agricole's mobile payment application is built on Ex-Dejamobile’s (Market Pay Group) tokenization platform and payment SDK. Our tokenization platform is integrated with Crédit Agricole's Paylib infrastructure, transforming "Ma Carte" into a convergent payment wallet for end users—a true mobile payment tool for both in-store and online purchases. Crédit Agricole’s service then expanded to Visa cardholders in March 2018.
In October 2018, Crédit Agricole Payment Services leveraged the strong customer authentication (SCA) module of the SoftPOSPayment solution from Ex-Dejamobile (Market Pay Group), already integrated into the "Ma Carte" application, to offer a secure and seamless peer-to-peer money transfer system. When confirming a transfer, users authenticate themselves either via their PIN code or fingerprint.
The teams at CAPS and Ex-Dejamobile (Market Pay Group) continuously work on developing innovative digital services for Crédit Agricole's customers.
"The teams at Ex-Dejamobile (Market Pay Group) have perfectly met our expectations: their agility and technical expertise have enabled us to provide a seamless and secure customer journey, fully aligned with Crédit Agricole's culture. We have been working alongside Market Pay for several years, and this use case [P2P ‘Paylib entre amis’ service] confirms their ability to listen and their willingness to collaborate with us to offer our customers useful and easy-to-use products."
